Grow Pedilanthus in full sun to partial shade in a very well-drained, sand-based soil. In hot summers, shade is recommended for afternoons and so is moisture. Keep the soil drier in winter. Take care not to over-water, which can cause rotting.

Pedilanthus Tithymaloides ‘Nana’ is a succulent of most unusual form which resembles a ladder. This evergreen shrub has zigzagging fleshy stems with thick waxy deep green almost black symmetrical leaves.
