Plant eucalyptus trees in full sun and well-draining soil. They are adaptable to most soil types as long as the soil drain well. Eucalyptus trees do not tolerate freezing temperatures. Excessive top growth can be pruned back in winter or summer to control height and keep the tree tidy.
