When growing citronella grass, place it in a location where it can receive bright but filtered sunlight. It can scorch or wilt in areas with too much intense sun. Citronella grass prefers moist, loamy soil. It has high watering needs, so if grown in a container, water it every day
1.Light -bright filtered light
2.Place-moist, loamy soil container
3.Water – regularly
4.Fertilizer -Apply any organic fertilizer.
5.repotting -remove dirt and repot to another pot as recommended
6.temperature – between 59 and 69 degrees Fahrenheit
Most researchers say they’re effective, natural mosquito deterrents, at least to some extent. Citronella grass by itself won’t repel mosquitoes. You have to extract the oil, which you can do by simply crushing or rubbing the leaves against your skin.
