Description
The plant is a perennial, prickly climber excessively branched prickly under shrub found throughout the tropical & subtropical parts of India upto 1200 m. Roots tuberous, 15-40 cm long greyish.
Plant care and instruction
Shatavari grows best in black soil. Dig up to 15 cm in the patch and sow Shatavari seeds. Cover it with soil and water it every 4-6 days. Continue this for a month, and after this period, water it once a week.
