Description
Its leaves are dark-green, large and paddle-shaped. Flowers: The inflorescence is erect, consisted of several showy bracts. The bract has the similar shape as that of lobster claw, yellow with red cheeks and thin green margins.

Most varieties of heliconias will grow well in full sun, where others require partial shade. They tend to grow taller if grown in shadier areas. Heliconias prefer freely draining soils with high organic matter.
