Description

Excoecaria bicolor is a very colorful plant. Rich subtle shades of greens, whites, and reds. The combination is a symphony. A brilliant lacquered red beneath and the arching woody stems.

It is a bit brittle and sap can be irritating, especially to the eyes, so best handle carefully and not a plant to put close to a walkway but otherwise, it is a very attractive and pest free plant.

Plant care and instruction

Not as sun tolerant as the regular variety. Also not tolerant of too much or too little water. Grow well in bright light to shade.

1.Light - bright /full sun

2.Place - sunny location such as an eastern, southern, or western window

3.Water - Keep the soil evenly moist, but let it dry out between waterings.

4.Fertilizer - Fertilize the plant in spring and summer

5.Repotting - Repot the plant in the spring if it has grown too large for its current pot.

6.Temperature -30 to 32 degrees F.
