Plant care and instruction

The care is very minimal. Cuphea loves at least 6 hours of sun daily. It has medium water requirements and it needs average, well-draining soil. No trimming is needed. If in a container, add an application of slow-release fertilizer once per season. If planted in the landscape add an annual application of fertilizer or compost to keep it vigorous.
